Help Michael Beynon Overcome Tragedy

This is the Beynon Family.

Retired (US Army) Colonel Terry, his wife Lisa, their son Michael and daughter Traci.

Terry and Lisa live in Colorado, where Terry has been courageously battling Brain Cancer (Glioblastomas) for the past year. Lisa has been his biggest champion, supporter, assistant, and caregiver. However, she hasn’t been able to do this without the help of their children Michael and Traci who both live on the East Coast (over 1,700 miles away).

Michael had just returned to Virginia from a month long stay in Colorado (where he worked tirelessly to help Lisa and Terry) when a shocking, life altering tragedy occurred. He suffered significant internal and orthopedic traumatic injuries from a violent attack. He is a victim of domestic violence with a firearm, being shot four times. He has undergone over nine surgeries and procedures (three of which were within the first few hours of arriving at the hospital). He has continued to amaze all his surgeons, doctors, nurses, therapists and other providers with his ability to survive. He remains in intensive care, as his recovery will be long and there will be more surgeries and procedures needed.

Traci was able to drive the four hours from her home to be with him as soon as she was called. Lisa, after arranging for family to be with Terry (who has bi-monthly chemotherapy infusions along with other medical appointments), got on the first flight she could out of Colorado to be with Michael in the ICU. Both Lisa and Traci are having to negotiate lodging and transportation costs (to/from CO and Traci’s home) in order to manage their responsibilities along with supporting Michael every step of the way, as he fights for his life.

My first request is for prayers of support for Michael as he faces each medical challenge related to this senseless act of violence as well as prayers for the entire Beynon Family, as they are living any family’s worst nightmare. Additionally, I’m pleading for any monetary help you can provide this family to be able to continue to support Michael right now. This financial donation will also aid with the medical bills that will be facing Michael WHEN he has recovered fully, which will be insurmountable to put it mildly. 

The Beynon family has lived their lives in service to our country, as responsible, caring and kind citizens who have always been the first in line to give help to others in time of need. They would never ask this of anyone else; I had to convince them into letting us set up this account.
