We are reaching out to our community after an unbelievable evening of events involving our dear friend Michael and her daughter, Tallulah.
After celebrating Easter with friends and driving home in separate cars. Michael and Tallulah arrived and parked in front of their house when the unthinkable happened: they heard a loud crack, then a massive oak tree suddenly fell, crushing both cars while they were still inside.
While Michael escaped her car, after climbing over live power lines, Tallulah was trapped inside hers. Emergency responders and firefighters had to cut her out of the vehicle to get her to safety. The ambulance rushed both of them to the hospital. It was a terrifying experience that no family should ever have to go through.
We are incredibly grateful that they are alive, but the aftermath has been overwhelming. Both cars were destroyed, leaving them without transportation, and they are now facing unexpected expenses, medical and therewise, during an already stressful time.
We have created this GoFundMe to help support this single mother and daughter as they recover. Donations will go toward:
A rental car for immediate transportation
Replacing their vehicles
Covering basic necessities as they navigate the days ahead
If you are able to give, any amount will make a difference. If not, sharing this page would mean so much.
Thank you for your kindness and support, and for keeping this family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
