Help Michael and Nobuko stay in their home.

My name is Michael and I have been caring for my wife Nobuko for the last 5 years. My wife is 69 years old and has a non-curable, neurodegenerative disease, leaving her bedbound, non-verbal, and dependent on all activities of daily living. The cause is unknown and there is no cure. Please help us. Due to her needs I was forced into early retirement after teaching for over 30 years. We receive limited help from medi-care however it is not enough for the level of daily dependency my wife requires. For this reason, I have had to spend our entire savings on providing care for her in addition to the 24 hour care I provide. We have an exorbitant amount of ambulance and medical supply bills (air mattress, special formula, incontinence supplies, feeding tubes, etc). If we lose our home we will have no where to go. We have no family in San Diego. Please help us. In addition to my help, a caregiver helps us 7 hours a day. 45 years of marriage and everyday I witness her disease progress. With continuous hospital visits in the last 2 years, my physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion has taken a toll. We have depleted our savings and need help financially to pay the mortgage, caregivers, and medical costs, especially with expensive prices in San Diego. No one should have to worry about losing their home while caring for a sick loved one. Should you be able to help us, we would be most grateful and appreciative.
