My name is April, my brothers Alex and Casey I are starting this fundraiser on behalf of our parents for our dads medical bills. This all started well over a year ago when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He did immunotherapy procedures to hopefully slow the spread. Which worked for a while. However, due to other complications i.e. severe kidney infection, a helicopter ride to Napa for emergency surgery, and double pneumonia, also elbow surgery because old metal from a previous surgery years ago decided to start poking through. It slowed a process to get his bladder totally removed. A) for stopping the spread of cancer and B) for better quality of life.

A few days ago he had his surgery to remove his bladder but unfortunately the procedure was canceled mid surgery to find the cancer has spread in his abdomen. The surgeon then replaced the stents in his kidneys which did not take. He underwent another surgery within 24hours to have tubes put in his back for his kidneys to drain since his bladder in now not working.

Our dad is doing ok but will have a long road of recovery from said surgeries and also a long fight ahead of more immunotherapy drugs to combat and slow the spread of his abdominal cancer. With all of the stress, tears and worries we are asking for help to cover some costs of medical bills. To say the least it would give our parents some peace of mind and quiet the phones for hospital payments. Alex spent a few days at UCSF with my mom and dad but needs to go back to work in LA. We are doing our best. If you can spare please help our parents. We would love to see some of the worries lift from their minds and also see some of our dads great sense of humor back.
