Help Michael and His Girls through Recovery

Hi everyone,
As many of you already know, our brother Mike was recently in a horrific accident while helping a friend of his. Unfortunately, this will make him immobile and unable to work or provide for his 3 girls for up to 12-18 months during his recovery, which is far too long for a family of four to have no income.
On Friday, May 20th, he was helping a friend work on a bucket lift and the hydraulics failed while he was under the boom. The heavy steel arm quickly fell and crushed our brother. It’s difficult to say, but, if it was not for the quick thinking of our friends and neighbors nearby, Michael would not be with us today. He told us he felt as if he was 3 breaths away from not breathing anymore.
After just under an hour, the fire department was able to pry him loose and rush him to the hospital. He was immediately put into surgery to stop the internal bleeding that was caused by, what we later found out, an artery that was nicked when his pelvis was shattered into more than 6 pieces. He has now undergone a second successful surgery on his pelvis and is still in the ICU recovering. Once he is discharged from the hospital he will have a long road of physical therapy to get mobility back.
Mike is very prideful and would never ask for a “free handout” but what he fails to realize and what we have all witnessed or experienced first hand, is that ever since we were little kids Michael did nothing but try to help his friends and family out in anyway possible. He is now truly in a great time of need, so Joey and I decided to take it upon ourselves to put this GoFundMe together in hopes that all those who Michael has helped unconditionally and without question over the years would take this as an opportunity to show him how much he means to each of us and how much we appreciate the devotion he has shown us. Even a small amount helps.
We have pondered doing this for many days and after receiving an overwhelming amount of support from so many of our friends and family, we’ve decided that this is the best way we can show Mike how much he is loved and how grateful and blessed we are to still have him here with us. Please help take some of the load off him and his family right now so he can focus on a quick and healthy recovery and return to all of us. We know hands down without question he’d do it for anyone he knows and loves.
Mike is the only person we know who can be faced with such great odds and still come out on top, please help him get there, help us show him what he’s fighting for.
