Help Michael Ames' Family Through This Loss

Last week, my best friend Emily was given the hardest experience she'd ever faced. Thursday morning at 6:45AM she went into her son's room to get him up for work. He had started a new job about 6 weeks prior, and he loved it. But, sometimes mornings were a struggle. She found that he had died during the night.

Michael Ames was only 31 years old. Father to his 4 yr old son Levi, who loves his dada so very much. Those who knew Michael knew all he ever wanted in life was to have a family, be a daddy and pass on his love and knowledge of comic books, superheros and movies.

Michael had just recently moved back home, and was planning on saving for a new place. He had found his true love, Abby Nguyen, and was looking forward to starting a life with Abby, her 2 baby girls and Levi.

Through his new job, he had secured a small life insurance policy. It was just enough to cover the funeral expenses. However, the family found out today that the funds can not be released to the funeral home because his son is listed as the beneficiary.

While the family navigates through these uncharted waters, I wanted to try and help with GoFundMe. Any donations, whatever the size, will go to funeral expenses or to Levi.
