Help Michael buy a wheelchair accessible van

Hi everyone,

We are creating a go fund me on behalf of Michael.

Michael has been living with MS for the last 20 years and has become solely dependent on his carers for 24/7 support. As Michael’s independence has been stripped away, his remaining joy in life is to be out in nature, by the beach and exploring new places. Michaels van broke down 7 months ago, and after 7 months of trying to repair it, the mechanics have finally said that his van is unable to be fixed. This has left him in need of a new wheelchair accessible vehicle, and his current van being worthless. During the time Michael has been without his own transport, he has had to pay for taxis himself everyday. There is also a great shortage of taxi drivers who are willing to transport clients in a wheelchair, and Michael often has to wait hours in the heat before a taxi will take him home. Public transport has become too dangerous for Michael to rely on given his medical condition and how contagious COVID has been. We are kindly asking everyone to make donation, even a small contribution can make a huge difference for the remaining of Michael’s life.
