Help Micah & Kerry Save Missy

We all know that our pets are our family. And we would do anything for family. Unfortunately, my long-time friends, Micah & Kerry Prout, have a furry family member named Missy who is in need of some pretty significant medical care - and maybe a little miracle.

Poor little Missy is suffering from a second bout of Cystitis of the Bladder causing the walls of the bladder to hemorrhage resulting in a lot of pain and blood loss when she urinates. This condition can be life-threatening if it progresses. She suffered from this last year from January to June of 2024. The treatment involves lab work, a bladder flush, pain relief, specialized (expensive!) food, and time.

Unfortunately, this time, the Vet found an unusual amount of inflamed tissue outside of the bladder that is bleeding as well. This led to Histopathology testing and possible steroids. Now, depending on the results of the tests, her treatment may need to be referred to a specialist.

Needless to say, this is causing quite a financial strain on Micah & Kerry - as unexpected costs often do. They have already spent well over $1,000 and are looking at quite a bit more pending results.

It's hard to ask for help, so I'm asking for them.
