Help Micah Heal: Urgent Breast Reconstructive Surgery Needed
Hi, my name is Micah, and I’m coming to you with nothing but honesty, vulnerability, and hope.
I need to undergo invasive breast reconstructive surgery as soon as possible due to serious complications from a previous breast augmentation. This is no longer a cosmetic issue — it’s a medical necessity for my health, safety, and peace of mind.
How I Got Here
Years ago, I had a breast augmentation with implants recommended by a surgeon who claimed they came with a “lifetime warranty” against deflation and a 10-year warranty for capsular contracture. I even paid for additional insurance to cover the implants, which was supposed to give me extra protection in case anything went wrong.
Well — it did. One of the implants has deflated, and now I’m left in severe pain, with tissue damage and urgent need for full reconstruction. Even more frustrating, the company behind the implants has since gone out of business due to defective manufacturing — and neither they nor the original surgeon are honoring the warranty or coverage I was promised.
To make matters worse, the original doctor is requiring me to pay out of pocket for the complications from the very surgery he performed. Despite the clear failure of the implants and the pain it has caused, I’m now responsible for the full cost of fixing it.
⚕️ The Search for the Right Care
Over the past few months, I’ve had multiple consultations with highly renowned reconstructive surgeons to understand my condition and the best approach to repair the damage.
Each physician provided in-depth guidance, personalized recommendations, and thoughtful care — but none of these procedures are covered by insurance. The surgery requires a complex, multi-step reconstruction, implant removal/replacement and the costs from all the different doctors and surgical centers add up to $30,000 in total.
Estimated Costs: $30,000
- Full breast reconstruction
- Anesthesia
- Surgical facility fees
- Post-op travel for follow-up care
I’ll also need to make multiple trips from Oceanside to Los Angeles for consultations and follow-ups, which adds to the financial and emotional weight of this process.
Why I’m Asking for Help
This is not a surgery I ever wanted, and it's certainly not one I planned for. But it’s become a life-changing necessity, and I simply can't do it alone.
Whether you can give $5, $25, $100, or more — every donation truly counts. If you're not in a position to donate, sharing this page with your friends, family, or community would make a world of difference.
