Help Micah get a seizure alert service dog!
Coming into this world as a very premature baby, Micah has been fighting since day one.
Micah Wahl is a very kind, loving young man. This sweet 16 year old boy has gotten past many obstacles, some being Epilepsy and Myasthenia Gravis, a neuromuscular disease. These make it very hard to do day to day activities without worry. Micah has not only grand mal seizures but small ones called absence seizures every single day and even in his sleep! These are small and sometimes barely noticeable, however they are very hard on Micahs body.
These seizures make day to day life a struggle. Illnesses, bright lights, and even not sleeping well at night can cause grand mal seizures. He recently had a grand mal seizure in the middle of the night, had his brother not been there no one would have known, and who knows what the outcome would have been.
Micah and his neurologist have decided that a seizure alert service dog would greatly benefit him. However these dogs are very expensive.

Micah will never be able to do fun “normal” kids things, like going to a movie at the theater or attending an indoor concert. Bowling alleys, and skating rinks are also a challenge. We want Micah to live as normal a life as possible and a service dog would make that dream a reality.
Seizure alert dogs don’t just alert a person to an oncoming seizure, they help during and after them as well. During they can keep their friend safe by getting under their head to avoid injury, guard them until help arrives in the event of a seizure in public, get help if alone, retrieve medications needed after a seizure, and more.
Training these dogs is expensive and takes time. Any help is greatly appreciated not only by his family but him as well. You would be directly helping Micah improve his quality of life! Thank you!
