Help Mia Wheeler Through Her Cancer Battle
Donation protected
Mia and Callan Wheeler recently welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Bronwyn. However, shortly after Bronwyn’s birth, Mia discovered a lump in her breast. Initially hoping it was just a result of the post-pregnancy changes, Mia had it checked, and the biopsy results revealed an unexpected and devastating diagnosis: breast cancer. Mia has been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, which doctors believe is at stage 2 and is invasive and fast-growing.
Mia’s treatment plan has been established, though the journey ahead is challenging. She will undergo 8 rounds of chemotherapy every two weeks, starting hopefully this Friday, December 13. To help prevent hair loss, Mia and Callen have chosen to try a special procedure called cold capping. Over the next several months, Mia will continue with chemotherapy, along with additional tests and procedures. After the chemotherapy is complete, doctors will reassess the mass. If it remains, surgery will be required to remove it. Mia has also decided to undergo a double mastectomy regardless of the outcome. After surgery, they will evaluate whether radiation will be necessary.
While this has been an overwhelming experience for Mia, she is grateful to have a plan in place and is focused on her path to recovery.
How can you help? At this time, financial support would be incredibly helpful to ease the burden of medical expenses. Donations will go toward covering out-of-pocket costs for treatments, medications, hospital visits, and lost income as Mia focuses on her recovery. Any contribution is deeply appreciated as Mia and Callen navigate this difficult journey.
