Hello,
my name is Gina and I have a small Chihuahua named Mia. Thursday evening we went out and she was attacked by a fox. It first seemed like nothing really bad happened as I was able to split them and
chase the fox away. I saw the fox bit her, but no injury was found.
But the day after she started to begin to have a fever and was in severe pain, shiffering and unable to move.
I took her to the emergency clinic called Bärenwiese here in Berlin. They first thought she has pancreatis but they have already revoked this on the basis of the ultrasound/blood tests. So they began her treatment yesterday, but it did not work so today we decided she needs to stay in the clinic at least for 24 Hours.
She gets Infusion, blood test and a lot of medicine, still her fever is high up (40.3). The medicine did not work, so now they started antibiotiqs as well and said there is maybe an abscess underneath her skin from that Fox, that small bites from them close easily and sometimes cannot be found. Which of course would make Sense and this would have caused a lot of bacteria.. although they are not 100 percent sure…so far she does not seem to get any better, and I don’t know how long she needs to stay there. So far the total costs are already 1600€. I assume it will be more as it is unsure if she is responding to treatment yet.
A few weeks earlier she already had a big operation so my expences were so high that I do not have any more savings or money on my account left..
I am a dog trainer and I would offer in exchange to do training with you and your dog for example (group training, 1:1, online call etc.) .. if you help us out. You can just contact me.
Mia desperatly needs treatment right now and I do not have any more money and I also do not know how we keep going with her treatment.. all I want is that if she needs more treatment I am able to give it to her. She has been my best friend since the day I got her.
