Hi everyone, my name is Mia, I am 18 years old. I live in Bennettsbridge, Kilkenny with my mom, sister, niece & nephew who mean the world to me. I've played soccer with a club since I was 10 years old and I am now about to graduate from secondary school. I always played soccer when I was younger with my Dad, he taught me almost everything I know about soccer but he sadly passed away when I was 6 years old. Soccer has always been my dream, my end goal, and what I have always wanted to do. I never wanted to do anything but play soccer. I have been lucky to have supportive coaches who encouraged me and brought out the best in my ability. I am grateful to have received a partial scholarship to play soccer for Northeast Hawks in Norfolk Nebraska, USA while getting an amazing education. I am thrilled. They cover a lot of the costs but now with getting my visa, health insurance, flights and much more, but me and my mom are struggling a bit. I couldn't ask my mom to do anything more for me as she's doing her best as a single mom and always supporting me on and off the pitch. I know many people would think this is silly to set this up and I know others understand how hard and expensive this is. I would just really appreciate anything at all from anyone to help me reach my goals so I can be proud of myself and achieve my dreams with my family and friends cheering me on.
