Mia is a bright, vibrant high school student with her whole life ahead of her. Whether she’s playing volleyball, studying, or spending time with her friends, her energy has always been infectious.

However, on March 30, a normal day turned into a nightmare. In a freak accident, Mia was struck in the eye by a BB gun. The impact was devastating, causing severe internal trauma that changed her life in a split second.

The Long Road to Recovery

The journey since that moment has been grueling. Mia has already endured two emergency surgeries to repair the initial damage and attempt to save her vision. While she has shown incredible bravery, her fight is far from over.

Because of the complexity of the injury, her medical team has informed us that there are more doctor visits and surgeries on the horizon. Each procedure brings a mix of hope and anxiety as we navigate:
