Mia Tanooki and Lola Bean are our beloved cats, and right now they need medical care. Recently, our youngest cat Cleo became very sick and tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV). Despite our best efforts to save her, we lost Cleo after only a year together. She shared a birthday with me, and this Saturday, August 23rd, was supposed to be her second birthday. Losing Cleo has been devastating for my husband and me, as our cats are truly our family and our reason to get out of bed each day.
FeLV is highly contagious and deadly, so we are taking every precaution to protect Mia Tanooki and Lola Bean. Both girls need to be tested for FeLV twice, and we have already completed the first round. Mia’s results showed low white blood cells, high thyroid (T4), and high kidney values, which means she needs further testing and possible treatment. Vet visits are especially hard on Mia and Lola, as they are both anxious kitties who hate car rides, making each trip stressful for them and for us.
We are asking for help to cover the costs of ongoing tests and treatments for Mia Tanooki and Lola Bean. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. Our fur babies are our children, and we want to give them the best chance at a healthy life. Thank you for considering helping our family during this difficult time.
