Help Mia go to UC Berkeley Summer Program!

Hello, my name is Irma Sanchez, and I'm organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my daughter Mia Sanchez. She was recently accepted into the UC Berkeley Pre-College Scholars Summer Program! My family and I are all extremely proud of her. We are all eager for her to take advantage of this opportunity; unfortunately, the only thing holding her back is the cost of the program. She has a job as a hostess at a local restaurant, has been walking dogs in the neighborhood, yard work for neighbors, and doing jobs for her community to save up for this program; everything she earns, she puts aside to save. The school itself does not offer a scholarship and expects the full payment seven days after she accepts the offer. I am doing everything I can to help her pay for this, but I am disabled and retired, so I can only scrounge up so much. This gofundme was our last resort as we don't like asking others for money, but I'd hate to see this opportunity pass her by simply because of our financial status since she's worked so hard.
