Hi, I'm Mia and I have been chosen to be one of the more than 40,000 Scouts from all over the world who will gather in Korea for the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Summer 2023.

The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) event, it happens every four years, each time hosted by a different country, and I am one of the four people representing the district of Runnymede - Surrey, Unit 71. I will be in Korea for about 3 weeks, spending 12 days at the Saemangeum site. For the rest of the time, I will be experiencing the South Korean culture in extraordinary places such as Seoul and developing my knowledge. I am so proud to be one of the lucky people chosen to go, but I need a little bit of help to get there.

I have been in scouting since I was 6 years old with 2nd New Haw Scouts  and have built incredible friendships and skills along the way. I enjoy giving my time to help out at cubs as a young leader to share the things I have learned as a scout. Scouting has been an incredible part of my life and I am excited to be able to learn and grow even further with a wider scouting community. 

I will be participating in multiple fundraising events with my unit and personally to help me on my journey, and will be posting updates on here about my fundraising activities.
