Mia has been a part of my life since she was just 15 weeks old, and from the very beginning, she has struggled with her health. For the past three and a half years, Mia has been vomiting bile—sometimes even her food—and despite countless visits to different vets, we still don’t have clear answers. Early on, I was told it might be empty stomach syndrome or a sensitivity to protein, but nothing has truly helped. We’ve tried changing foods, medications, and every suggestion from the professionals, but her symptoms have only gotten worse over the past six months.
Recently, Mia started seeing a new vet who is determined to help us get to the bottom of her illness. We’ve tried prescription food, but it only helped for a short time before the vomiting returned. Mia has had blood work and x-rays in the past when a puppy, but nothing came out of it as I just kept getting told she is still a puppy and hasn’t developed yet , but now she needs more comprehensive testing—full bloodwork, new x-rays, and possibly being scoped or referred to a specialist. Financially, it’s been a struggle to keep up with her ongoing care, and I want to do everything possible to give her the best chance at a healthy life. Our next appointment is March 9, and I’m hoping to raise enough to move forward with the tests and treatments she needs.
I am so grateful for any support you can give, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing Mia’s story. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to both of us, and every bit of help brings us closer to finding answers and giving Mia the care she deserves. I will keep everyone updated on her journey.
