This is Mia, she is the sweetest dachshund who loves everybody she meets.
In July 2024, Mia had a large benign mass removed from her leg.
The mass returned in December 2024. After a biopsy, it was confirmed to be an aggressive mast cell cancer that has already spread to a lymph node.
Without treatment, the cancer is terminal and will spread to her liver and spleen.
In order to give our sweet girl the best chance of survival, we have opted for radiation therapy at OSU Veterinary Oncology.
Mia's cancer journey so far has consisted of two surgeries, biopsies, bloodwork, ultrasounds, and cytologies totaling $5,500.
We are now looking at radiation treatments, CT scans, and aftercare bloodwork and ultrasounds totaling $9,500.
As long as our girl wants to fight, we will fight for her.
If you are able to help us with this fight, we would greatly appreciate it.
