Help Baby Mia Camila Fight for Her Life

Hi, my name is Melisa Sanchez, and I am the founder of the Melisa Sanchez Community Foundation (MSCF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping families in times of need. Today, we are coming together to support a very special baby girl and her family during an incredibly difficult time.

Mia Camila Villegas is a beautiful, strong baby who is now facing a life threatening heart condition. Doctors have discovered that her heart murmur is growing, and one of her cardiac valves did not fully develop. This is now affecting her health and slowing her down.

Mia will need open heart surgery at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, where she and her family will need to stay for approximately 2 months while she receives care, surgery, and recovery support.

As you can imagine, this unexpected medical journey is not only emotionally overwhelming but also financially stressful for her family. During this time, they will need help covering essential expenses such as:

Gas for travel back and forth

Hotel stays near the hospital

Food and daily necessities

Other emergency expenses while away from home

This is where we are asking for your help.

No family should have to worry about how they will afford to stay by their child’s side during such a critical moment. Our goal is to ease that burden so they can focus on what truly matters Mia’s healing and recovery.
