Big news! We are thrilled to share that Mia has been officially nominated and selected to serve as a National Youth Correspondent at the 2026 Washington Journalism and Media Conference (WJMC). This is an exclusive, invitation-only honor awarded to a select group of students nationwide who demonstrate exceptional talent in journalism, photography, and videography. Mia was recognized for her creative 'eye' and her passion for storytelling through digital media.

This isn't just a trip; it’s a professional stepping stone. During her week in D.C., Mia will work with award-winning photojournalists and media CEOs, participate in high-stakes newsroom simulations, and report from the field at landmarks like the National Press Club and Capitol Hill. She will also earn university credit from George Mason University for her successful completion of the program.

Your sponsorship will help cover program tuition and registration, travel, safe lodging in George Mason University residence halls, and specialized media equipment and lab fees. We are so proud of Mia’s hard work and dedication to her craft. Any contribution to help this young storyteller reach the nation's capital would mean the world to us!
