Hi all! I have been accepted into an MFA program for Fall 2025 at Georgia Southern University. The entire process was expedited over the span of two weeks due to a last minute opening in the program.
Applied: July 20th
Accepted: July 30th
Move Day: August 11
Classes Begin: August 13
It’s great - Fully funded, yearly stipend, and deeply resourced. As a trauma informed teaching artist and educator, I’m really looking forward to this opportunity to grow and deepen my arts/crafts practice. But, due to the time crunch, I must pay for moving expenses and reduced student fees out of pocket with a fast turnaround. I am raising funds in two rounds!
I’m raising a total of $2400 for security deposit, toiletries, and the remaining $400 I’d need for student healthcare in the event my medical assistance application with Georgia Gateway is declined. Should I get approved, the funds would still be used to pay my general student fees on a payment plan.
Via instagram, $600 has already been raised to contribute to this goal. I am transitioning my ask here for ease and transparency for all involved. I need to raise $2000 by August 11th.
Thank you for your support!
