Written and directed by Nina Bournival, The Pull is a story about the struggles of addiction and staying sober, while maintaining an active social life. The story follows Emma, a young woman who has battled addiction with both alcohol and narcotics. After a lengthy internal battle, she decides that she is ready to go to a friend's party, and be social once again. As the party goes on, Emma becomes more comfortable, and is enjoying herself while sober. This new found comfort is shattered when she comes across a man, in a dark room, with a table of drugs laid out before him. Emma’s mind immediately begins to race as she plays out the potential scenario. We will delve into her mind and follow along as she imagines the consequences, if she did in fact decide to break her sobriety and join this man. What plays out is a night of drunken drug fueled debauchery ending in depression and heartbreak. After playing all of this out in her mind, Emma makes the decision to maintain her life of sobriety. Or does she?

Pre-production for THE PULL is already underway as of December 2021. In January, we will begin a week of hard prep, followed by a two day shoot. Our schedules, locations, crew list and budgets are nearing completion. The funding we are seeking will allow us to feed our crew on set, purchase insurance for the production, pay location fees, and rent the equipment necessary to bring our vision for this film to life. We hope that this film will open doors and pave the way for Metric Entertainment to grow, and bring in larger productions in the future. Metric Entertainment aims to be a place for local artists to have a safe, inclusive, and affordable option for producing their content, and bringing their dreams to life.
