Help Meryl Heal: Medical, Housing, Legal Support
Donation protected
We are writing this on behalf of our mom/ mother in law/beloved nanny, Meryl.
On Sunday April 20th, 2025 we were notified that Meryl was critically injured as the result of a violent domestic assault. She was transported to a trauma center after sustaining severe injuries including 3 brain bleeds, head contusions, multiple fractured vertebrae in her neck, broken knuckles and severe bruising/ abrasions. She has spent the last several days in the ICU and we are so grateful to say that her condition is improving, although a very long road to recovery is ahead of us. This is complicated by her long-standing battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Because of the spousal nature of this violent crime, Meryl has lost her housing, partial health insurance coverage and is requiring extensive legal/trial assistance to navigate the aftermath of this traumatic event.
We are also navigating the care of her medically complex dog, Abbie, who requires costly care as well.
Meryl’s follow up care needs will be significant and we kindly ask for your healing thoughts and any support you’re able to help us with.
These funds will directly go to Meryl’s medical care, housing, legal assistance and pet care needs.
We extend our profound thanks to the Streetsboro Police Department, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), first responders and hospital staff at each medical center that have provided her care.
She is strong, resilient and our family is so appreciative of the love and support.
