On Sunday, August 21st, around 9 pm, Merritt Delicatessen tragically caught fire a few hours after closing. The deli was structurally damaged by fire, and all food & drinks must be thrown out as ordered by the Board of Health due to toxin exposure. Owners Craig & John planted their roots in Farmingdale in 1956 and have helped the community and its various organizations.
