Help Merri's Dog Leo Recover from Attack

Hello friends,

My mother Merri’s 10lbs rescue Maltese Leo was, at no fault of his own, brutally attacked yesterday by a Husky at the dog park.

Instead of claiming responsibility and paying for the Vet bill, the owner of the other dog yelled at my mother for bringing her small dog into the park and left before she could get his information.

My mom rushed Leo to the emergency Veterinary. He had treatment on 7 severe lacerations, which included getting many stitches and 4 drainage tubes in his little neck. This left my mom with a $2,000 Vet bill.

I have been unable to work since October 2024 due to a severe heart condition, so I can not help my mom with the Vet bill. I started this GoFundMe because I feel like I have to help her in some way since she has been trying to help me with my horrible health situation.

If you know my mom or just love little white dogs and could donate even just a little toward my brother Leo’s Vet bill it would be so helpful. If you can’t donate please just send my mom your love as this has been a very difficult and traumatic time for her and Leo. Leo is my mom’s right hand man, who accompanies her everywhere.

The police and local park authorities have been notified, but no one knows the identity of the Husky owner.

100% of funds collected will go to my mom and towards Leo’s Vet bills.
