Please help rescue a precious Haitian family from the humanitarian crisis occurring in Port-au-Prince!
UPDATE:
After a long and terrifying trip, the family arrived safely to the countryside last week! We met them in Cap Haitien. It was amazing to see them again after all these years! They are now the proud renters of a safe and beautiful home. For the first time, they have their own place with electricity, water, and appliances. All the things we tend to take for granted are luxury items for them.
Though our mission is nearly complete, we still have expenses to cover. Would you please consider a small donation to help us? You would be part of transforming lives and bringing new hope to those less fortunate. Thank you.
Expenses:
Rent for Year: $3,400
Solar System: $2,350
Water Tank, Pump, Water: $650
Mattresses: $800
Stove and Propane Tank: $275
Refrigerator: $350
Table and Chairs: $300
Miscellaneous: $500
Labor: $300

We met this family in December 2011 while on a mission trip. Meronise is the cook for the school's feeding center which we were helping to repair.- She and her four beautiful daughters lived in shocking poverty but so kind and hardworking. Then came Oscar, a light in a dark place. They are in immediate danger from the gangs and need to escape the capital immediately!
Have you heard what's going on in Haiti? Gangs have taken over 90% of Port-au-Prince. They burn down entire neighborhoods, murdering nearly 6k people in 2024 and displacing 60k people in February 2025 alone. Sexual violence has risen a staggering 1000%. Gang members are 50% children, some as young as eight years old. These kids were abducted into human slavery and then forced to kill innocent people.
The gangs will penetrate this family's compound any day. They need to escape Port-au-Prince immediately. The plan is to move them to a commune in the countryside as soon as they are able to get through the roadblock. Hinche is a couple hours north in a safe neighborhood free of gang activity. They need transportation to the countryside, rent for a year, all furnishings for a home, a water tank, generator, solar panels, and internet equipment. They will be leaving their few belongings behind in Port-au-Prince. Shaun and I will travel to Haiti to help them rent a home and get set up.
Loody and I have had a special bond for over 13 years. She has the most amazing son, Oscar. More than anything, Loody wants Oscar to have a good life - to receive an education and to stay out of the gang. We've been able to send Oscar to school and keep him safe the past 11 years, but now we need your help.
Please consider helping us radically change the lives of 5 beautiful people who deserve a new start in life. Save them from becoming displaced - or worse - victims of sexual abuse, abducted into human slavery, or murdered. Thank you!
