Jessica has always opened her heart and home to animals in need, fostering both dogs and cats through Pathway to Hope. She and her husband recently rescued a cat named Merlot, believing she was just a kitten. However, after bringing her to the vet, they discovered that Merlot is actually older and facing some unexpected health challenges.

During her spay procedure, the vet found fluid and a mass near Merlot’s mammary glands. This means she now needs additional surgery, a biopsy, bloodwork, and possibly further treatment to ensure she can recover and live a healthy life. Jessica never says no to an animal in need, and she’s always the first to step up when help is needed. Now, she and Merlot need a little help themselves.
