Help Merlin Fight Chronic Kidney Disease

Hi, my name is Kerenza, and I'm fundraising to help cover the cost of my cat Merlin's veterinary care.

Merlin was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD) last year and is currently at stage 2. CKD is a serious, progressive condition that leads to the irreversible loss of kidney function over time. While there is no cure, ongoing management and medication are crucial in slowing its progression and giving Merlin the best quality of life possible. Recently, Merlin had to go to the emergency vets, which resulted in bills totalling around £3,000. He is now vomiting daily, barely eating, is consistently losing weight, and has become much quieter and more reserved — all signs that he urgently needs further medical treatment. This includes more blood work, anti-nausea medication, appetite stimulants, and subcutaneous fluids. I’m doing everything I can to support Merlin, but the costs of medications, regular vet visits, prescription renal food, frequent blood work, and unexpected emergencies have become overwhelming. This fundraiser will go directly towards Merlin’s treatment and care, and will allow me to focus on supporting him without the constant financial strain. Any donation, no matter the size, helps to make sure Merlin gets the care he needs.
