Hi everyone, I’m Merle. If you come to the Cesar Chavez Park Off Leash Area, you may know me. I have been a regular at the park with my human, Kurt, since the summer of 2013. That was when I was adopted from Milo; that day was a godsend. Although I am now a senior, my life has been wonderful but as the years go by my health has become a challenge. Yes, I am still a happy boy, full of energy and love to see all my friends at the park. However, I recently learned that I need extensive dental work. And that’s not all. I have been having problems with my back leg. The doctor thinks it may be arthritis, but we won’t know without x-rays. And then I developed a very uncomfortable skin condition. The problem with this medical stuff is that I have no pet insurance because it was just too expensive. And this is why I am in the position of having to reach out for some help. It’s not an enviable place to be but it’s my reality. Any donation to my GoFundMe no matter how small will be greatly appreciated by me, my human and all my friends at the park.
