Help Merle Recoup from Fire Loss

Riverview Crossings Fire

On Sunday, 4 April 2021, around 10pm, a fire started at Riverview Crossings Apartments. Residents were quickly evacuated as the flames grew, and as of today, possessions are a total loss and access to the building is not allowed for anyone. One of our team members, Merle Newell, is a resident of the building that burned down on Sunday night. Red Cross provided hotel lodging for a couple days to impacted residents. Thankfully, Merle also has family in the area that he is now staying with. He has, however, suffered a total loss of all his belongings. As Merle is figuring out what to do from here, we asked how we, his work family, can support him. At this point, Merle doesn’t know where he will be living or when he’ll be able to find a new place, so his biggest ask is from a financial support perspective so that he can buy new clothes, furniture, household goods, etc. as the timing is appropriate. If you at all have it in your heart to donate to Merle to help him get back on his feet, we have created this platform for team members to do so.

Thank you for your consideration and helping support Merle in this difficult time.
