Merisha's Fight to Beat Cancer
Donation protected
"It wasn't supposed to be like this." Merisha worked for years as a maternal child nurse, caring for women. She never thought she would be the one needing care.
After having some female issues, on March 8, 2021, her doctor found a mass on her uterine wall. The biopsy 3 days later confirmed a CANCER diagnosis. Her doctor immediately referred her to a gynecologist/oncologist in Baton Rouge where she underwent a complete abdominal hysterectomy on March 26. The mass was the size of a basketball and had invaded both her uterine wall and ovaries. On April 3, 2021, she got the results- Stage 3 uterine and ovarian cancer. Her next step in this battle is chemotherapy and radiation, which will begin after she's healed from this surgery.
Maybe you know Merisha as a friend, a co-worker, or as a nurse who gave you care. What many don't know is that Merisha is the sole breadwinner for her family. Conway is disabled and Maxwell is 15. She has fought to provide for them but now needs our help as she fights this battle with cancer.
Merisha has already used all of her available time from work. This money is needed to cover both her lost wages and her increasing medical costs. Please help however you can and please continue to pray for Merisha and her family. God does work miracles- sometimes He works them through us.
