Hello everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to read this for those who come across this! It took a lot of self deliberation to get to the point of vulnerability where I'd be comfortable to share my situation with others but here goes. This past year has been a lot, both mentally and physically. Since the beginning of covid, job and housing insecurity have become persistent issues, even affecting me in 2022. I've worked primarily in coffee/cafe settings. While I haven't found problems with the duties or structural aspects of these jobs, the transphobia I experienced from coworkers and customers has only made matters worse for me mentally. I've been transitioning medically for three years now and have been comfortable with my progress regarding my appearance. However, working in these spaces the past year has given me so much dysphoria and discomfort with the public's perception that I find it hard even to leave my house to run errands. I've made it a goal to proceed with gender-affirming procedures this year so that I can live/navigate safely and comfortably. Since November of last year, I've been working with a case manager at my clinic to get letters of support for my surgeries. This past week, I finally had my last session with a behavioral health therapist to receive my letters and referral for breast augmentation surgery. I will be starting a similar process for FFS next week. Thankfully, both these surgeries are covered by my insurance. However, there are still fees for essential things such as consultation, pre-operative tests, surgeon's fees, anesthesiologist's fees, and resources needed for my recovery. In addition, I would like to start laser sessions this year so that I don't have to worry about spending absurd amounts of money each month on hair removal products/wax appointments. Also, I'm in the process of getting my legal name, and gender markers changed but submitting the court forms and getting each identification document(driver's license, social security, birth certificate, etc.) is a hefty amount altogether. Lastly, I'm currently in the process of moving, so I do need help with moving/deposit fees and other living expenses. I drive, so I'm not worried abt ridesharing or public transportation expenses to get to appointments; however, my car's registration needs to be renewed for DC, some repairs need to be made, and I need to start paying for insurance again. I wouldn't be posting this if I had the means to cover everything stated, so I'm calling on my community to aid me. Below I've included a general breakdown of funds needed because transparency is critical to me.

Complete laser sessions for upper body/face: $5000
Consultation, pre-op tests, surgeon, anesthesiologist fees + recovery resources: $20000
Name/Gender marker change: $500
Car Expenses: $5000
Moving expenses: $4500

Please boost/repost if you cannot donate; circulation is just as critical to contributing.
Thank you!!
