My 5 year old mare that we bred and have had since birth is in the horse ICU (intensive care unit). She somehow got something toxic in her system and needs a lot of supportive care to fight it. She’s requiring 3 liters of IVF an hour because her small instestines are not working. All the fluid is getting stuck in her stomach (2 liters an hour) and because horses can’t vomit, the vets are suctioning it out of her stomach hourly. The vet thinks she can pull through but this support is expensive. I hate that she is going through this, and I hate this selfish ask with so much other things in this world that money could go
