This fundraiser is on behalf of my sister, Meredith Bury, and her sweet family. After extensive testing, Meredith matched and was selected to be a living donor for our sister, Audra, who is in need of a kidney transplant.
The surgery will take place on September 14th in Dallas, Texas. While Audra's health insurance covers Meredith's medical expenses, it does NOT cover her food, accommodations, and travel expenses. Meredith and her family will be traveling from their home in Georgia and setting up shop in Texas for a required full two weeks. This allows time for a Covid test prior to surgery, the hospital stay, and follow up doctor appointments prior to traveling home. After traveling home to Georgia, Meredith will be needing time off from work for 5 weeks in which she will not be paid.

Meredith has lovingly chosen to gift her kidney to her sister. My hope is that we can bless the Bury Family by covering their out of pocket expenses (specifically their air fare, airport parking, Airbnb rental, and food) as they are away from their home in Georgia. Thank you all very much!
