Hi all,

My name is Meredith Edgar and I'm a singer-songwriter in San Francisco, CA. Last year I left my day job at a medical office to pursue music as a full-time career, and it's been the best decision I've ever made. I'm playing more gigs than ever, teaching vocal lessons, collaborating with incredible local artists, and exploring all kinds of new musical possibilities that are growing my skills and my love of music. It's been the most self-affirming experience for me, and I have every intention to keep going.

So here's the deal: I recently finished recording a fancy new single with Danny Allen (formerly of the Pretty Monsters) at Baby Buck Studios. Danny did an incredible job creating a sultry, sophisticated sound for this track, and it's the most polished, fleshed-out recording I've made before. I'm ridiculously excited to share it with all of you.

Next on the schedule is a SHINY DARK MOODY GORGEOUS MUSIC VIDEO to accompany the single. This is going to be my first foray into videoland, and oh, do I have ideas! I am fortunate enough to have people in my network who have experience with various aspects of this kind of project who have already signed on, but I want to pay them properly for the talents and skills they'll be contributing.

This is where **you** come in, I hope :) I've consulted with the person who will be directing the video and he expects that we can make the video I want to make for about $2500. This will include all of the above costs and possibly some extra unexpected ones. That amount will allow me to pay everyone contributing what they deserve for their work, and come up with a beautiful, exciting final product that I can feel proud to share with the world.

I don't like asking for help like this, but I hope you know that I'm doing it because 1) I've gone through some financial/residential hardship in the last year (those of you who know me personally are familiar with the situation), and especially while I'm building up my teaching schedule, I don't have the ability to fully fund this on my own at this time...and 2) if this single and video will be as stunning as I expect them to be, I am hopeful that they will draw some attention from musical publications etc that could help grow my musical career and bring in opportunities that I have not yet found. It's very important to me to give this my all.
