My name is Meredith, and I have been my husband Gary's caregiver since 2013. Gary is on disability and cannot drive due to vision problems, so I have always been the one to get him to his medical appointments and manage our household needs.

Recently, our situation has become even more difficult. I was denied work accommodations due to my own medical and placed on a

90-day unpaid leave from work the day after Christmas. This has left us without any income, except his disability checks once a month, and our only vehicle is no longer safe to drive. Despite years of trying to fix the e-check code, I have not been able to afford a replacement. Now, our car will officially be unusable, leaving us completely without transportation.

Having reliable transportation would make a world of difference for us. It would allow Gary to attend all of his medical appointments without the constant stress of cancellations and rescheduling. It would also give me the chance to go to job interviews and hopefully start contributing financially again. On top of that, it would help us catch up on overdue bills and relieve some of the medical, financial, and mental struggles we are facing. I am actively searching for a new job, but the market is tough and many remote opportunities turn out to be scams. We are truly struggling and asking for help as a last resort.
