Hello! My name is Meredith Napisa, I'm currently enrolled at Tidewater Community College and have been there for around two years now with only about two more semesters to go before I am able to transfer. Being able to transfer as soon as possible is imperative for me as I am currently facing some stability issues from an unstable and unhealthy home environment. Consequently, I've enrolled in as many classes as possible to leave as soon as possible but as I'm sure many of you know, more classes= more money.

I don't receive any financial aid or support from family and try to work as much as possible in order to afford the cost of tuition. However, as a server -especially in the winter months, it's proved to be increasingly difficult and the balance of 6 classes on top of that has been incredibly stressful to maintain. With my monthly earnings I am barely able to make the payment each month with it costing $800 out of pocket and has resulted in me no longer able to afford any of my medical bills, car maintenance costs, or basic necessities.

I am slightly stubborn and prideful, so this is a pretty #vulnerable moment for me and asking for help this publicly is difficult to say the least. I don't take making this fundraiser lightly and I've been lucky enough to have friends who have supported me in any way they can, as well as aid from my school's resource and empowerment center but even with their help and care I am realistically out of options.

In the spirit of transparency, I want to share exactly what the donations will go towards. The reason my GoFundMe goal is over just that of tuition is for the aforementioned reasons; I have almost $3000 left to pay and need to secure what I can as soon as possible so that I am able to prepare and actually save for my remaining required courses and to secure housing in the near future along with my daily costs of gas, insurance, and my outstanding medical bills.

Those who know me know I have been working hard and relentlessly and for those of you who don't I want to assure you everything donated will go toward nothing other than what I have stated. Anything at all; sharing, posting, donating is more than appreciated and I would be eternally grateful to anyone who helps me in continuing to pursue my academic career <3
