Say hi to Mercy! She was found on the sidewalk after being crushed by a vehicle in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; after some intense ER care and a wonderful team of vets, this sweet little girl is on a long road to recovery.
She's been left with two fractured front legs and a damaged cornea. She's young enough that her eye and right leg is likely to heal well with care, but her left will require amputation and all the followup care and rehab that will entail. To avoid surrendering her to euthanasia I've taken responsibility for her and bills, but it's an expensive journey ahead. Initial diagnostics alone were $1,750, and the amputation estimated at an additional $3,500–$5,000, and anything already spent and to be spent on drugs, supplies, and appointments.
She's a fighter and a sweetheart and already just starting to show her sassy little personality. Mercy will be getting care no matter what—anything you can give will help me defray the personal costs and help her into an easier, happier life.
