We are sorry to bring you sad news at Christmastime, but we need your help, love and generosity.
Our friend Mercedez McCartney has been recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer. She is scheduled for a radical hysterectomy the second week of January at the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center. At the time of surgery we will know if the cancer has metastasized and her next steps. Her immediate concern, and our reason for setting up this account, is that a $6,000.00 co-pay is looming and, in fact, $3,000.00 must be paid to proceed! Time is of the essence!
Mercedez is strong and has beat cancer before, so we are hopeful that this time will be no different. She works full-time, takes care of her sweet boy, and even has medical insurance, but this was unforeseen. She just does not have the savings for the sizable deductible.
We know this time of year is tight, so any amount will be much appreciated. Together we can help, so that her thoughts are focused on recovery!
