Help Us Build a Safe Haven for Cats – A New Cat Lounge in Newton, NC!
Hi friends, cat lovers, and compassionate souls
We’re opening a new, permanent cat lounge in Newton, NC — a "Lil Lion sanctuary" for stray, abandoned, and at-risk cats who deserve a second chance. But we can’t do it without you. We’re asking for your support to help bring this safe, healing space to life.
Our Mission
We're more than just a cat lounge. We're a growing community dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), adoption, medical support, and education. Our goal is to not only save cats but also support the people who care for them — whether they're colony caretakers, low-income pet owners, or new adopters.
Our new space will be:
A Cat Lounge for socialization and adoptions
A Community Market with locally made goods to fund rescue efforts
A Vet Tech Clinic (sliding scale for low/no income)
A Foster/Boarding Space for cats and people in transition
A warm, welcoming hub for education, trap rentals, and resources
️ Why We Need Your Help
Our previous downtown Hickory location is closing, and we’re now transitioning into a bigger, long-term space with more capacity and services for cats and our community. But with growth comes cost — and right now, we need funds to:
Renovate and outfit the new space with cat-safe flooring, enclosures, and furniture
Provide medical supplies and food for incoming cats
Cover permits, utilities, and setup costs
Keep things running during the transition so no cats fall through the cracks
Every dollar helps us open the doors to a space that will save hundreds of cats a year.
Your Support = More Lives Saved
We’re not a big organization with deep pockets. We’re boots-on-the-ground rescuers, foster families, and volunteers — and you’re part of this pride. If you’ve adopted, donated, or shared our work before, we thank you. If you're new here, welcome — we’d love for you to become part of this mission.
Please consider donating and sharing our campaign. Together, we can open the doors to something truly life-changing.
With deepest gratitude,
Bella & Kitties
