Help Mennonite Girls Find Hope & Healing
Donation protected
For the past 8 years, VaLita Beckett has been hosting the Daughters of Promise seminar near Thorp, WI, with the loyal support of her husband, Mike, and their 4 girls (and little John, who mostly comes along and just has fun!). VaLita has also had an amazing group of friends that helped out with the work through all of these years.

and Daughters of Promise 2020

After years of hearing the heartbreaking stories of some of the girls who attended the one day seminars, and listening to the cries for help and resources from their parents, the vision for a girls' camp was born in their hearts.
Through a series of many miracles, the Lord put that burden in the hearts of all the rest of us, and helped us find each other. We formed an official board of directors n 2020 and since then, He's been teaching us how to listen to His direction and work together to bring hope and healing to the hurting people in our Mennonite communities.
We chose our ministry name, Chadash (pronounced Haw-dash'), because it is the Hebrew word from the Bible that means "Restoration and Renewal", and it is the belief of all of us that there is nothing too broken that the Lord Jesus cannot restore.
We've found that the Lord's promises in Isaiah are so true, and we know that there are many
more of you out there who are sure of it, too!
“If you offer yourself to the hungry,
and satisfy the afflicted one,
then your light will shine in the darkness, and your night will be like the noonday.
The Lord always will lead you,
satisfy you in a parched land,
and strengthen your bones.
You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose water never runs dry.
Some of you will rebuild the ancient ruins;
you will restore the foundations laid long ago;
you will be called the repairer of broken walls,
the restorer of streets where people live.”
Isaiah 58:12 CSB
“They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”
Isaiah 61:4 NIV
We invite you to join us in the work of rebuilding the waste places and repairing the
brokenness in our homes and churches.
OUR INVITATION:
Chadash Christian Ministries is moving closer toward its long term vision of establishing a
facility for conservative Mennonite girls and young women who find themselves needing some guidance in working through personal, relational and spiritual challenges. As a board, we have been praying that the Lord will open doors and make a way for us to start meeting the needs that are all around us. These last few years since the vision was born in us, first individually and then collectively, God has been faithfully leading us, refining us and growing our faith while we have
waited on Him to show us the next steps He wants us to take.
Here we are at one of our last board meetings:

In the photo below, Mike and VaLita Beckett (on the right) are in a meeting with Teresa Beachy, director of the Pearl of Grace Ranch in Guthrie, OK.

Teresa is our behind-the-scenes director, helping us navigate the uncharted waters of starting up an effective girls' program. Sometime in the next year or two, Teresa hopes to move to Wisconsin and be
our on-site director and facilitator.
This spring, we were offered an opportunity to purchase 10 acre parcel in central
Wisconsin that has an existing 6-7 bedroom house. The owner of the home is a widow
who would love to see her property used for the restorative work of mentoring and discipling young ladies from our plain communities.
In her beautiful, well-cared for home, we will be able to house at least 6-
8 girls and 2 mentors. There is an insulated heated shed in the yard that could be used for a workshop area to give the young ladies an opportunity to do projects for therapy as well as provide a way for them to partially support themselves while they are involved in the program.
The barn could be fixed up to shelter the therapy horses.
A lovely creek runs through the land behind the house, and the location of the property is perfect for easy access to wilderness excursions into the national
forest.
Here are a few pictures so you can visualize it a little better:

We are planning some local fundraisers (benefit auctions, bake sales, banquets, etc.) to support the ongoing work of the Girl's Home, but we’d like to make a way for supporters and prayer warriors all across the nation to share in the work as well. So, if you would like to partner with Chadash Christian Ministries in Christ’s call to bind up the brokenhearted and to open the prisons of girls that are longing to be free, we have some immediate financial needs that are directly in front of us.
Anabaptist Financial has financed the property for us and there are monthly mortgage payments to make. There is an
opportunity for you to make a one-time donation toward the land purchase, or a monthly pledge (for as long of a term as you choose) to help with future mortgage payments. If you’d like to contribute to thatneed, please earmark your gift specifically for that by simply noting “Mortgage” somewhere on your correspondence with us.
Some renovations will be necessary through the next several months, and some of the donated funds will be used for materials to complete those projects. We’d like to add a bathroom upstairs and make some changes throughout the house to create efficient and comfortable living and sleeping areas for the girls and the staff. The basement area could potentially be renovated into a lovely laundry room and recreational room/lounge. If you have a special love for seeing renovation and restoration happening, and want your gift to go toward that part of the work, add
a little note for us that says “Building Fund” and we’ll make sure it goes for that.
As always, in endeavors like this, there are other financial needs that develop after a facility is up and running. We’ll
have staff to pay, food to buy, furnishings and some appliances to purchase, and so much more. If you feel led to contribute to the ministry, but have no strong feelings about where or how your gift is used, you don’t have to make any notation anywhere.
We pledge to use every dollar in
a way that honors God and blesses His people in wherever it is needed most.
Chadash Christian Ministries is registered with the State of Wisconsin as a 501c3 corporation, but we are not finished with all the paperwork that is needed at the federal level. What that means for you as a donor is that your financial gift will not be tax deductible until our filing with the IRS is completed. At this point, we are planning to have that done before the end of this
year (2021), in which case, your donation would be tax deductible. We will be issuing tax receipts if you request them, but keep in mind that there may be glitches beyond our control that could delay the final filing. If that happens, unfortunately there would be no tax write-off for you for the 2021 calendar year.
One hundred percent of every donation, minus the GoFundMe fees that are automatically deducted, will be used for this project. All members of our board are volunteers and receive no reimbursement for any of the expenses involved.
