My sister, Menchie, is one of the kindest and most selfless people I know.

We were born into a humble family and often had to rely on the kindness of relatives just to get by. We are five siblings, children of Nida and Sergio from Barangay Puyog, Boac, Marinduque.

Menchie chose to remain single and devoted her life to helping our family and caring for her beloved pet cats. She is currently staying in Los Baños, Laguna Philippines to look after my house while I am away working abroad.

She has always been a blessing to us and to everyone who knows her. She has a generous heart and is always willing to help others without expecting anything in return.

However, on the afternoon of June 18 at around 3:00pm., tragedy struck. The carpenter working at my house found Menchie unconscious. The carpenter immediately sought help from our neighbors so she could be rushed to the nearest hospital.

After several tests, the doctors confirmed that she had suffered a subdural hemorrhage, a life-threatening condition in which blood collects between the brain and the skull, beneath the dura mater. Later, CCTV footage suggested that she may have slipped while doing the laundry and hit her head, as early as 9:00am when she was last seen outside.

Since that day, Menchie has remained unconscious.

Seeing her in this condition has been heartbreaking. She often talked about saving up for her 50th birthday, something she had been looking forward to. We continue to hold on to hope because as long as her heart keeps beating, we believe she is still fighting.

This has been an incredibly difficult battle, emotionally and financially.

As of June 26, her hospital expenses have already exceeded ₱1 million, and the bills continue to grow every day. This amount does not yet include the cost of transferring her from Los Baños Hospital to the Lung Center of the Philippines, where she can receive specialized treatment and care.

Our family's savings have reached their limit, and we are now humbly asking for your help.

Any amount, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping Menchie continue her fight toward recovery. Your kindness, generosity, prayers, and support mean more to us than words can express, and we will be forever grateful.

All funds raised will be managed by my aunt and will be paid directly to the hospital to cover Menchie's medical expenses.

Our heartfelt gratitude to all of you.

Our very kind and loving "Tato Menchie"
