Help Memorialize Derrick Triplett's Legacy

Hello family, friends, comradeship and worldwide community. This is written by Lolita, Kimberly Bradford Triplett’s cousin. I am assisting my cousin by setting up this Go Fund Me, in hopes to assist her with the cost of memorializing her beloved husband, Derrick Triplett.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the heavenly transitioning of our beloved Derrick “Nick” Triplett. Derrick unexpectedly passed away on July 6, 2024, just 29 days before their second wedding anniversary.

On July 5, 2024, Derrick and his wife Kimberly went to bed lovingly as they did every night. Unfortunately, around 12:20 AM on July 6, 2024 at age 56, Derrick passed away in his sleep.

Derrick was born on November 8, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. Derrick later called North Las Vegas home alongside with his beloved wife, Kimberly Bradford Triplett and Ryder, his beloved service fur baby.

Derrick was a cherished husband, great dad, a jokester, barbecue enthusiast and an all-around loving and genuine human being.

Derrick dedicated his life by enlisting in the United States Army. He was known for his dedication, discipline and unwavering commitment to his duties.

While his formal education led to college credits Derrick was proud of, Derrick was even prouder of his service to the country that he loved.

Throughout his life, Derrick was affectionately known as “Nick” or “Nicky” in his circle of loved ones. Derrick brought joy and laughter to everyone he came in contact with, with his quick wit and humor.

Derrick’s passion for grilling and barbecuing was a source of pride and delight for all who knew him.

Derrick was also a Senior Warden King of Tyre Lodge #3 Las Vegas Nevada.

Derrick and Kimberly’s love story was cut short by his sudden and unexpected passing. They had a dream love story. They did not argue. Their relationship was full of God and genuine love. They would have celebrated two blissful years of marriage on August 4, 2024.

Derrick leaves to cherish his loving and caring memories to his loving and dedicated wife, Kimberly Bradford Triplett; his son, Derrick Triplett Jr., of Germany; daughters, Tatiana Triplett of Chicago; Taylor and Skylor Triplett of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren; siblings Carla Triplett and Jeffrey Triplett of Battle Creek; Felicia Triplett of Chicago; brother-in-love Lester Davis Jr. of Los Angeles; Derrick leaves his beloved service fur baby Ryder; Derrick is preceded in death by his parents Zetherine and Roy Triplett and his mother-in-law Rene Baker Davis.

Kimberly now needs us. She needs financial help to not only bury her soulmate, her person, Kim needs assistance in support to stand in her own independence.
