Help Melvin Mendez Rebuild After Fire

My name is Chris Wells and I'm raising money for my pal Melvin Mendez.

Melvin is a wonderful car mechanic who has helped restore my family's vintage Jeep--it runs like a dream--as well as maintained my husband's and my car since we've been in Lancaster. He's also done jobs around the house: installed a new gate for the driveway, cleared away over two tons of yard trash and more. He's helpful, generous, and hard-working.

Aside from the small side jobs, Melvin's main gig is being a car mechanic.

A week ago, Melvin's yard caught fire and everything he owns was destroyed--his truck, his tools, all of the vehicles he's purchased for parts. The City of Palmdale is responsible for the fire and we believe they will cover some of Melvin's losses. But, in the meantime, he has no way of working or making a living because of the loss of his tools and work truck.

Melvin's a great guy. Humble, sweet, devout--he doesn't work on Sundays because he sets the day aside to go to church.

Please join me in helping Melvin get a new work vehicle, and a set of new tools, so he can continue to work and keep up his income.

All funds raised will go to his daughter Ana Mendez' bank account and will be used to get Melvin back on his feet.
