Hello! About 10 months ago, we adopted our puppy Melody. She is full of life, and eager to enjoy every moment of it. Unfortunately, we just discovered her high energy and love for play has resulted in a permanent injury that will affect her ability to walk and run from now on.

Not even before her first birthday, Melody has torn her CCL (the dog's ACL) in her back, right leg. As mentioned before, this is a permanent injury. After visiting the vet, we discovered she was born with bad knees. A torn CCL is rare for a puppy so young. She will likely have a limp for the rest of her life. Additionally, the vet says it is highly likely that her other knee will go out in the near future from overcompensation.

Please help us to afford surgery for her right knee in hopes of improving her quality of life and preventing the left CCL from tearing. Sweet Melody has not been able to run or play like a normal puppy for a while, and we would love to see her be able to enjoy a more comfortable youth.

CCL surgery costs between $3000-$5000 for one leg. The procedure will not repair her CCL, but it will reshape the bones and joint area to better support her weight and give her a chance of enjoying play without pain.
