Help Melody Recover from Explosion Damage
Donation protected
On July 29th, the explosion at Horizon Biofuels in Fremont, Nebraska shook our community. My very good friend, Melody, works next door to the plant, and her car was badly damaged in the blast. As a single mother, she works hard to provide for her family, but this unexpected disaster has left her struggling.
The damage to her car, the medical bills from smoke inhalation, and the wages lost after missing work due to lingering fumes have created a heavy financial burden. Horizon’s insurance is denying coverage for “small claims,” leaving Melody without the support she was counting on to get back on her feet.
Right now, Melody needs help to:
Pay her car insurance deductible so she can get her car repaired
Cover the cost of a rental car while her vehicle is in the shop (about 3 weeks) - Fremont has no public transportation system or taxi/uber.
Catch up on lost wages and the unexpected medical expenses
Any contribution—big or small—will make a real difference in helping Melody get through this tough time. If you aren’t able to give, please consider sharing this with others who might be able to help.
Thank you for supporting Melody and showing what community really means.
