Hello everyone,
It is not easy for me to be transparent and ask for help. Honestly, I have fought through a lot of embarrassment just to write this. But as a mother, my children will always come before my pride.
I am a single mother of seven beautiful children (ages 6 to 16). Two are my biological daughters, and five are my nieces and nephews, whom I legally adopted after they spent seven painful years in the foster care system. Our family has been through the fire. In 2024, we lost both my beloved mother and my brother. Around that same time, the children's mother became a paraplegic and is unable to be in their lives. Between grief, the harsh realities of drug addiction impacting communities here in Washington State, and navigating life on my own, things have been incredibly rough. But through it all, God kept us, and we have kept moving forward.
I have been working part-time at Home Depot and renting our current home for almost three years. Out of nowhere, just three weeks before I was supposed to resign at work, my landlord texted me to say they cannot renew our lease because they need the home back. I was absolutely devastated. I do not have the savings to up and move nine people on a part-time income.
But God provided a miracle: we were approved for a new home back in Georgia! This is our chance at a fresh start, safely away from the hardships we've faced here.
Now, we face one final, massive hurdle. Our only transportation is down. My 2017 Chevy Suburban needs a major transmission repair, and the shop quote is $6,000. Without this vehicle, I have no way to drive my seven children across the country to our new home. I have tried calling 211 and reaching out to local resources, but there has been no help available for a move like this.
My dream is to get this car fixed so I can safely drive my family to Georgia before the holidays. We are packed, we are approved, and we are ready—we just need a miracle to get our wheels moving. Anything you can give, even just a dollar or a prayer, will go directly toward repairing our vehicle and funding our gas across the state lines.
We are incredibly grateful for whatever kindness you can show our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and God bless you.
