My daughter Melody is a sweet, social 6th grader who loves connecting with her classmates and learning new things. This year, she has the opportunity to join a school-sponsored trip to Washington DC—a journey that will take her to places both educational and historic, like the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, and many other landmarks. To help pay for her to go, I am organizing different types of fundraisers, including this GoFundMe.

This trip means so much to Melody. It will help her expand her horizons, giving her the chance to see firsthand the history she’s learning about in school. She’ll be able to experience memorable moments, meet new friends, and gain a deeper understanding of our country’s past and present.
