My name is Melly or Marshmellow; I was adopted from Kitsap Humane Society in February of 2021 and before that I was at a shelter in Hawaii for months. My mom works at KHS and fell in love with me before deciding to adopt. She thinks I’m really lovable & special; I’m deaf and have a mild sight impairment. I’ve had a limp in my left leg for awhile but my mom didn’t know what was wrong. After having X-rays and a full exam last week, turns out my left hind leg’s ACL is completely torn. I just want to be able to get the zoomies with my sister Hula and friends but my leg hurts too bad. Right now my mom is managing my pain with some medication while she prices out TPLO surgeries across Kitsap county. It’s reallllly expensive but she’s a saver and is going to make my leg feel like new! Maybe some of you could help her out too There’s a possibility I could tear my right ACL from compensating and overuse too so send us positive vibes that that won’t happen..at least not any time soon! Please help make my leg feel better ❤️‍ The sooner our goal is met, the sooner I can get scheduled for surgery & be a “normal” dog, again.
